POLICY OVERVIEW

A2 Bikes understands that accidents happen, even to the most careful cyclists. Our Crash Replacement Policy provides the original purchaser with access to significantly discounted replacement framesets when damage occurs outside of warranty coverage. This voluntary program demonstrates our commitment to keeping you riding on A2 Bikes products.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Who Qualifies

  • Original Owner Only: This policy is available exclusively to the original retail purchaser of the frameset

  • Proof of Purchase Required: Valid proof of purchase (receipt, invoice, or credit card statement) must be provided

  • Registration Status: While not required, registered framesets receive priority processing and enhanced discount tiers

What Qualifies

  • Structural damage from crashes during riding or racing

  • Impact damage from transportation accidents

  • Damage from bike rack failures or vehicle-related incidents

  • Any accidental damage that compromises frame integrity

  • Damage occurring during maintenance or storage mishaps

Time Limitations

  • Tier 1 (0-2 years from purchase): Maximum discount available

  • Tier 2 (2-3 years from purchase): Standard discount available

  • Tier 3 (3-5 years from purchase): Basic discount available

  • Beyond 5 years: Case-by-case evaluation at A2 Bikes' discretion

CLAIM PROCESS

Step 1: Stop Riding

If your frame is damaged, stop riding immediately. Continuing to ride a damaged frame can result in catastrophic failure and serious injury.

Step 2: Document the Damage

  • Take clear photographs from multiple angles

  • Document the circumstances of the damage

  • Gather your proof of purchase and registration information

Step 3: Contact Your Dealer or A2 Bikes

Through Authorized Dealer:

  • Bring your damaged frame to an authorized A2 Bikes dealer

  • Dealer will assess damage and initiate crash replacement claim

  • Processing time: 5-7 business days

Direct to A2 Bikes:

  • Email: crashreplacement@a2bikes.com

  • Include photos, description, proof of purchase, and serial number

  • Processing time: 7-10 business days

Step 4: Receive Quote

  • A2 Bikes will provide a replacement quote based on current pricing and availability

  • Quote valid for 30 days

  • Replacement options will be presented if identical model unavailable

Step 5: Complete Purchase

  • Upon acceptance, payment required before shipment

  • Damaged frame must be returned to A2 Bikes (we provide prepaid shipping label)

  • Replacement frame ships within 5-10 business days of payment

REPLACEMENT OPTIONS

Like-for-Like Replacement

We strive to provide identical model and color replacements when possible. However:

  • If exact model is discontinued: Current equivalent model offered

  • If color unavailable: Choice of available colors provided

  • If size unavailable: We'll work to source from global inventory

Upgrade Options

  • Customers may upgrade to higher-spec models

  • Crash replacement discount applies to upgrade model's MSRP

  • Price difference must be paid by customer

WHAT'S NOT COVERED

This policy does not cover:

  • Damage covered under the Limited Lifetime Warranty

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Cosmetic damage that doesn't affect structural integrity

  • Theft or vandalism

  • Damage from improper modifications

  • Frames purchased second-hand (not original owner)

  • Damage resulting from professional stunts or extreme sports outside intended use

PROGRAM LIMITATIONS

Usage Limits

  • One claim per frameset: Each serial number eligible for one crash replacement only

  • One claim per 12 months: Maximum one crash replacement claim per customer per year

  • Non-transferable: Policy benefits cannot be transferred to subsequent owners

Geographic Restrictions

  • Available in USA only

  • International customers subject to shipping fees and import duties

  • Replacement frames shipped to original country of purchase only

Inventory Availability

  • Replacement subject to current inventory

  • A2 Bikes reserves right to offer comparable alternatives

  • No guarantee of exact model/color match

  • Extended wait times possible for out-of-stock items

SPECIAL PROVISIONS

Racing Incidents

Unlike many competitors, A2 Bikes explicitly includes racing damage in our crash replacement coverage:

  • Criterium crashes: Covered

  • Triathlon/TT incidents: Covered

  • Gran Fondo accidents: Covered

  • Training crashes: Covered

Multiple Component Damage

If multiple A2 Bikes components are damaged in the same incident:

  • Each component evaluated separately

  • Bundle discount of 5% applied to total replacement cost

  • Single shipping charge for all replacements

  • Additional 5% discount on future warranty-covered purchases
